Bumpurr 10/18/06 - 4/13/12

I had to put put Bump down yesterday, at 11AM. Yesterday morning, he couldn't use his back legs, I took him to the ER, he had thrown a clot. I asked the ER vet to talk to my vet, then I talked to her, I beyond, trust her.

He was in severe pain, and there was nothing they could do for him.

Just as my gut told me to stand and fight, when he was 10 months old, my gut told me yesterday, it was time.

I kissed him, told him I loved him, and how sorry I was, I couldn't help him any more. I held him when they gave him the shot, petted him and kissed him.

He will be cremated and put in an urn, so he is always with me.

He is here now, the kittens sit in front of his carrier, and just stare inside of it.

He was only 5 yrs old. As my mother told me, he wasn't even supposed to live past 1 yr old. He had a good life, and he knew he was loved. I had tremendous support from all my friends, they called and some came over to sit with me. I was beyond hysterical yesterday.

I love all my babies, but Bump was my boy.

Bump, I loved you so very much, and I miss you, I will see you someday, at the Rainbow Bridge.

Thank you for putting his picture up. I could only deal with, one board at a time, and my dear friend Robin from VT was kind enuff to put his story on the cat show board.  I got so many emails and pawmails, which, I just can't reply to yet.

His ER bill was pretty expensive, and about wiped me out.  My friends pitched in, and paid for his cremation. I didn't even know they were going to do that. When I called pethaven to see if they picked him up yet, they told me.

Bump is home now, I picked him up yesterday.

I actually saw him, not a flash out of the corner of my eye, not in a fog, but I saw him clearly as I am looking at this screen.  It was Tues morn, I was in the bathroom, Cowboy sitting at my feet, as he always does, and I saw a LH red cat, run past the open door.  Cruiser was sitting on the table. It was Bump, telling me, he was OK.

I will be glad, when I think of him, it was not his last moments, with pain and terror on his face, saying please mommy, and when it was over, I couldn't let go of him, and them carrying him away.  Lola thank you.

The kittens looked for him, for days, where is he ma? They sat in front of his carrier, and just stared inside of it.  Yesterday was the first day, they acted like they accepted it, the day I brought him home. I am hoping, he appeared to them too.

Before I let the kittens out, after they eat, I still, out of habit, look in his carrier, to see if he is done eating.
I cannot believe he is gone. I still cry, when I post about him. I love him so so much, and I knew, he knew, I did. He always looked at me, with love in his eyes and on his face.   bumpgif kisses3 heartbeatgif

Of course you cry.  It's been only a very short time.  It was lovely and sweet of him to appear and let you know he's okay, and he is probably communicating with the kittens too.  I wouldn't be surprised if you see more of him.

Many hugs and tears from me to you.

Thank you so much for letting us know you saw him.  I'm so glad he showed himself, and I'm sure he's let the kittens see him, too.  And that was such a lovely gesture for your friends to pay for his cremation.  That shows how much you and Bumpurr are loved.

Bump's Mom,
Sooooo glad you didn't mind me putting up the picture of Bump.  I tend to worry a bit about that sort of thing.  He is just too0000000 beautiful to not share.
Don't stress over answering emails and such.  I imagine people aren't expecting a response, but are just wanting to reach out to you...to let you know they care.  XXoo
Friends helping you in any way...shows you how much you, Bump, and the other boys are LOVED.
Give yourself and the boys lots of time.  One day at a time.   heartbeatgif

Want Cowboy & Cruiser to know it would be GREAT to see them if they ever feel like visiting, & introducing themselves here to our non-Catsfur members who haven't met them before.  cat4 cat4

That's a great idea, CC.  It would be so nice to have the other member's of Bump's family come here and visit.

You're in my thoughts, Bump's Mommy.

Bump's mom...I can change your member name to another kitty, if it would help you out at all.   Hope you are doing well.   HeadButt
