Happy Birthday, Mango!!! He's amazing looking!!!

Thanks for the birthday wishes :) We adopted him July 13th, and he was 8 weeks then, so he was born around that day in May.

I think he knew it was his birthday yesterday, he was acting quite crazy, yes more crazy than usual. I actually thought we were gonna get an earthquake he was acting so strange, lol!  You know how cats can sense things like that  ;)

Happy Birthday Mango boy! Goodness, he's huge!  So funny how some cats stay babyish looking for a well over their first year, but not this boy wow!  He's so beautiful! How are he and Shadow getting along these days?

(ps thanks Lola)

I just love his "dirty" face!  My gosh Mango is just SO adorable.
How does he like going outside?  Probably a dumb question. ;)
I am also interested to hear how him and Shadow are getting along these days.

Thanks for the picture resize Lola :)
He loves going outside, I should have called him Hunter, he is amazing at tracking and pouncing on anything that moves. He would not starve that is for sure. I only take him out on a leash though. I take them both out at the same time.
They still do not totally get a long. Mango just wants to play, and shadow does not, she still hisses at him, but it is not as often.
I started giving them both this treat, one a day, it has L -theanine in it, so it does help a bit.  Oh I also bought a clicker, I thought that this would not really work, but only after a few sessions with Mango he knows what the click means, it means a treat, so if he starts to bug Shadow, if the clicker is near by I click and he comes running to me, problem is I need to have the treat in my hand every time I do this, or else he will not associate the treat with the click.

On another note I was in the big pet food store today getting litter and was talking to one of the volunteers that does cat rescues. We were talking about food, etc.  I could not believe my ears when she said to me "just get him fat" and he wont be able to run after your other cat, and was recommending some calming dry pet food. I said that I do not feed dry food, she said "oh but you have too, it cleans their teeth" ugh!!! I said no actually it does not. I could tell she was not going to be responsive to me, so I just left it at that.  I just shake my head sometimes.  bangshead

PS- I bought some feline fresh litter today to try, we shall see how that goes, its cheaper than the Smart cat.

The clicker sounds interesting!  Mango will calm down in about two more years.  Kitten stage seems to last that long.  lol  In my experience anyway.  That second picture is great also.  He sure looks BIG.  Is he?

Thanks Pet South :)

The clicker does really work, Shadow even knows what the click means lol!

Mango is not really that big, just average in my opinion, Shadow is still a bit bigger.
Its funny how in some pictures he looks like a short haired cat, and in some a medium length haired cat.
