I've only seen little bits about her on the local news. Personally, I think she did it. There's something in her eyes that's not right--just not right. She's too disconnected looking--not wild-eyed like people like Jeffry Dahlmer or the Batman killer--just disconnected from it all like nothing about his death matters.

In a nutshell... she SLAUGHTERED her ex-boyfriend.  It is horrible, but not sure why it is "world" news.
Anyway...closing arguments were yesterday.  I wanted the defense attorney to give me SOMETHING... but I don't think he had anything.  Nothing to justify, excuse, explain, etc.
Personally, I don't think I could sentence someone to death.  Not saying some don't deserve it...
The jurors were all asked in advanced.  None of them stated they would have issues with the death penalty.
I hope people remember that the jury doesn't see and hear everything that the general public does.  They have to make a decision based on what has been presented to them.  Although it seems like this case is pretty cut and dried.
Being an armchair juror...  I would have to go with Premeditated Murder One.  Shadow?

Premeditated is what will give her the needle... after all her appeals and a minimum of 12 years ("they" say) of sitting on death row.

Well... Jodi gave her "give me life" plea today.  I really don't think there is ANYTHING she could have said that would have been acceptable.
If she had went down on her knees and begged for forgiveness...it would have probably seemed fake.
But... she only has to convince ONE.

Shadow,
When you hear the defence attorney's name, does it sound like they are saying "Burt and Ernie" to you?

Commercial....

I think Jodi did a better job at pleading for her life, than her defense attorney is.  At the moment, it seems her attorney is leaning towards blaming her parents.  Childhood sounds pretty typical.. if you ask me.  Nothing to make her a savage killer.  IMHO

He meant more to her, than she did to him.  Sad... but not grounds for a brutal murder.

Glad I'm not a on the jury...

Attorneys gave it their last shot.  Life or death is in the jury's' hands now.  Although life in prison doesn't reallllllly mean forever.  There is always parole.... in 25 years, I believe.

I couldn't make the decision to take someone's life.  If I could... her attorney didn't convince me she is worthy of being spared death.

I can't take anymore...  as I stay glued to the TV.   Bumpurr1

Off to clean litter boxes.  Less poop to put up with.  :)

Wonder what happened to her "I want the death penalty" BS?
