It is very hard to find the perfect canned food, especially where I live. It seems that the USA has way more choice than we do. :( There is always at least one ingredient that is not good it seems.  bangshead
Yes I have seen Dr. Beckers discussion about this gum, but what am I to do? I feel I need to have canned in their diet. A little off topic but we had an earthquake the other day so that was a bit of a scarey wake up call in the event of the big one I need to have the canned in rotation.

We do the best we can under our own particular circumstances.  grouphug

I hope no one got hurt by the quake and there wasn't any damage.   fingerscrossed

I feel the same as you about keeping some canned in the diet Shadow. And we just have to make the best choices we can. The way to get around icky ingredients is to feed enough variety so not every meal has the same icky ingredients in it.

So the cats seem to like the Holistic Select, I need to add rabbit, and the only rabbit I can afford is the Wild calling, so I may add that. The raw rabbit is just way to expensive.

The WC rabbit has kind of a funny gritty texture.  Jennie and Queen Eva would eat it sometimes, but Queen Eva needed it heavily dusted with forti flora.  Jennie eats anything.

It is not perfect, but it looks a little better than the Wellness GF  :-\

Since you mentioned Wellness...

LOL! I know Lola..I actually called them the other day to ask what the gel stuff was in the food. I had to press a number to reach either Wellness or Holistic Select. I asked if the gel was Xanathum gum. She said no it was like a broth that gels, just like when you make a turkey you get that gel stuff. I wanted to know if it was Xanathum gum or if the added vitamins etc was in that gel. Other wise I would pick it out if it was the gum.
Things that make you go hmmmm  :-\

Was she trying to say it was bone broth, or what? Or just skirting around your question?
