Ellen DeGeneres To Launch Vegan Pet Foods Line

BY JENNIFER MISHLER
DECEMBER 12, 2011

Ellen DeGeneres has been making it even easier to go vegan, from her website Going Vegan With Ellen to an upcoming Los Angeles vegan restaurant. Soon, she may be helping your dog and cat go veg too.

DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi are reportedly planning to launch a line of vegan pet foods. According to The West Australian, it’s still unknown when the foods will hit stores and if they will include food for animals other than dogs and cats. The Chicago Sun-Times wrote, “The couple also are developing a line of vegan pet foods – after discovering a void in the market for people looking to feed their dogs and cats vegan vittles.”

More details as they come!

Where did you find the info?  I can't find a reputable source, so I just Tweeted Halo Pets and asked.  Will let you know their response.

At Halo we believe the most natural diet for dogs is one that combines both meat and plant ingredients.

Halo creates dog foods intended to achieve optimal health and minimize adverse food reactions—such as skin and digestive issues—by combining wholesome natural ingredients and always avoiding the use of chicken meal and other rendered meats, synthetic dyes, preservatives and other potentially harmful ingredients.
