I remembered to tell her this morning.  Poor thing she's up in her Safe Spot at the moment. 13 years.  I never dreamed back then I'd be able to some of the things I do with her now.  Never dreamed she would be such a loving cat, either.  She works so hard still to curb her natural tendency to bite and tear with claws.
