I completely forgot. . .
« on: March 07, 2014, 10:08:15 PM »
. . .that this weekend is "Spring forward" on the clock.

I haven't even remotely begun the meals-change. Now I'll be losing sleep this time around because I haven't begun to get them slowly used to the time-change.

I don't get it? Won't the routine remain the same, just an hour later? I mean. It will only be an hour later once, then the routine will not be any different?

My dogs can tell time. Seriously. Right now they're on 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. TODAY. Tomorrow and the next day they will still be on 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. TODAY. Not 6 am and 5 pm TOMORROW, but TODAY. They tell me when it's those times. (They also have a pretty regimented walking schedule that begins right after breakfast is scarfed down--and they'll also tell you when it's time for one of their walks.) Vlad either barks down the hall when it's 6 a.m., if I'm not already up, or he'll come head-butt me at the other times if I'm not already ready standing and saying, "It's _____ time."

I'll have to go to bed at 9 instead of 10 to keep my body on its clock that also tells time, or I'll want a nap--and then I won't want to go to bed at 10 and I'll throw myself off.

Normally I move the dogs up 10 minutes a day, every other day, 12 days before starting before this time change. That way I don't throw myself off. "Falling back" doesn't throw them off.

Unfortunately (or fortunately) dogs thrive on really regimented schedules--and I do too after raising 2 boys and having to keep up with their schedules for so many years.

There IS a calendar, at the bottom of the forum.  Daylight Savings was "announced" for over a week.  ;)

I guess you see how much attention I pay to calendars sometimes, huh?  Bumpurr1
