SOMETHING Is Sleeping In My Flower Pot
« on: February 03, 2019, 12:03:20 PM »
It is cold and rainy.
I'm not wearing my glasses.
I look out the window and see ... it is big, gray, and has striped.  My first thought.. snake!

Oh it makes my heart hurt to see him.  Looks like a tom with that big head.  Are you going to try to rescue him?

There are cats all over my neighborhood.  You see them only for a short while though.  :(

I haven't had one take a liking to my house for mannnnny years.  As horrible as this will sound... it was easier to not think about the cat population... now you see him/her/now you don't.... when they weren't "in your face."

S/he probably weights about 8 lbs.  My guess... young.
S/he runs from us.

No, this cat is NOT A SIGN that we should add to our furkid family.

I am going to contact an acquaintance that works in rescue.

Oh, I didn't know that about seeing cats all the time. Ugh. That would cause me so much stress.  Someone around here has a big gray and white cat a while back and I see him often, or his prints in the snow and it bothers me so much. Outdoor cats don't last long around here though I've been seeing this one since last summer.  The road is a hazard as is the wildlife.  He appeared to be friendly and did a nice roll in the grass for me the first time I saw him but I did not encourage friendliness.  I don't want him hanging around here, though, judging by the paw prints, he still is.

I do remember to thump the hood of my engine before I start the car every morning. That's just ingrained habit.

The most I see a loose cat is for a few months.
People get cats, often don't fix them, turn them loose.
Yes, it IS heart breaking.

What unusual markings!  And s/he's smiling at you in the one photo.  How can you say no to that smile?   Silly7  Just kidding.

Izzi showed up in a bird feeder .......

It is cold and rainy.

Define "cold."  We were below zero for several days last week.   :(
